2005 年，有一天，我到了洛杉磯做田野錄音，剛巧走到唐人街的許願井，錄了很多極富層次和很能展現那個混雜空間的聲音。紀錄，其實是私人情緒過慮後對那個地方的呈現。不是想要去除刻板成見。在許願井下，充塞著各種人心底最深處的慾望，正是對一個如我這般的異鄉人最大的諷刺。
In 2005, I went to China Town of LA, US to do field sound recording. There was a wishing well and many people flowing coins not only for fun but with wishes they really desired. The soundscape shows also my preferences and my thoughts. Moving images done by super 8 film — the train journey from Valencia to LA. A wishing well filled with all kinds of wishes, is an irony for a disappointed foreigner.
